Private GCSE and A Level Maths, French, Spanish & Chess Tutor North London

Tuition in the North, West & South London areas or online.

My name is Matthew Brown and welcome to my website for exceptional tutoring.

I am a graduate from Queen Mary University of London, where I studied French and Maths with Spanish. I am very strong in Latin languages and Maths.

My ability to teach typical problem areas in my subjects is unsurpassed including irregular verbs which also have their patterns, unlikely to be taught by anyone else.

Whether you are studying for an exam or not, my approach will be tailored to your individual needs with good communication from you about how you most effectively learn. I also tutor pupils from many excellent schools, including UCS, Francis Holland, North London Collegiate, Highgate School and Mill Hill School.

I spent a year at the Université du Littoral in France as part of my degree.

I am also with various agencies if you prefer using an agency.

Which Levels do I teach?

  • Primary School level (Key Stages 1 and 2) Maths, French and Spanish.

  • Common Entrance (11+ and 13+). My subjects only.

  • Secondary School level (Key Stage 3 and GCSE/IGCSE) Maths, French and Spanish tutoring.

  • A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths, French or Spanish tutoring.

My Chess tuition goes from complete Beginner Level to being a good, knowledgeable and resourceful player.

Why am I the best tutor?

I have over 17 years of experience helping my pupils to improve significantly in a short period of time as shown in my verifiable testimonials. My teaching is both very clear and thorough and also very structured. My tuition is also invaluable in terms of being a lot more familiar with harder GCSEs and A Levels having grown up with them myself. This will make me ideal for the new harder qualifications.

My tutoring of the typical problem areas in all of my subjects, Maths, French and Spanish is amongst the best you will find and will be found far more enjoyable too.

I am also very punctual.

Where do I tutor?

I live in Mill Hill and mainly tutor in or near the North/North West London and West London areas and parts of South London too. I also give lessons at home. There must always be at least one adult wherever I tutor.

My fees

My fees are from £40 per hour for the quality service provided by myself, face to face or online. If you are interested in purchasing a minimum of 3 lessons in advance, I will only charge from £30 per hour.

DBS Check

My Enhanced DBS check from the 18th May 2020 is completely clear.
